The hardest part of moving a test-tube colony is the cotton. Ants dig into it, treat it as home and drag out with it when you pull it. The Move-In Dock gives that stopper somewhere to go.
Push the dock into a spare port on the nest, drop the pulled cotton into its chamber with any ants still on it, close the vented lid and push the open tube into the socket. Air and light through the lid dry the cotton and the tube, and every path runs downhill into the nest. Most colonies move within one to a few days.
When the queen is in, pull the dock out with the tube still attached and push in the Port Plug that rides on the dock's end, so the port is sealed in seconds. Tip any stragglers into the outworld, or back toward the nest.
You don't need one if your nest already joins a Frontier: drop the cotton into the outworld and connect the tube with a Test-Tube Adapter. It's built for nests on their own, such as a Scout on a Scout Riser, or a Founder, Homestead or Four Corners bought without a Frontier.
